Serving the local communities since 1982

In August of 2001 Clipper City Gymnastics relocated to the 4000 sqf. facilities in downtown Amesbury Massachusetts.

We are a USA Gymnastics (USAG) member club as well as an active member in the US Association of Independent Gymnastic Clubs (USAIGC).

Clipper City upholds the highest standards of safety. Our facility and programs are safety certified by the USAG. All of our instructors are trained and adhere to these rigid guidelines.

For older students who wish to assist with teaching classes, we provide a "Student Instructor Training Program." These students are trained in spotting skills as well as child development and class management, and provide positive examples for our younger students.

DIRECTOR - Cindy Goss
A Newburyport native and Amesbury resident, Cindy Goss has been involved with Clipper City Gymnastics since it opened in Newburyport in 1982. She was an instructor for two years prior to purchasing the business in 1984, and has owned and operated it since then.

Cindy's background in athletics and a degree in education has helped to create our "kid friendly" philosophy. Helping kids to feel confident, safe, and secure without the pressures of highly competitive gymnastics enables every child to benefit from the sport, and gain valuable skills that can be used throughout their lives.

STAFF INSTRUCTORS
Clipper City upholds the highest standards of safety. Our facility and programs are safety certified by the USAG. All of our instructors are trained and adhere to these rigid guidelines.

Our instructors are chosen for their abilities to teach, understand, and relate to children. We have a low staff turnover rate because our teachers are invested in their students, enjoy working with kids, and therefore are not subject to "burnout".

GYMNASTICS TEAM
Our focus is recreational, however, we do have a team that trains using USAG skill levels and routines. Our team generally attends meets outside of our gym once or twice a year, to gain experience in competition, and we do exhibitions several times a year.
